Janotta & Herner Begins Design-Build Manufacturing Project for Autokiniton in Bellevue, Ohio

Janotta & Herner is proud to announce the start of a major design-build manufacturing expansion for Autokiniton at its Bellevue, Ohio facility. Construction completion is targeted for winter 2027.

The project includes approximately 290,000 square-foot of advanced manufacturing space designed to significantly increase production capacity, strengthening Autokiniton’s position as a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier.

Autokiniton (www.autokiniton.com) is a vertically integrated Tier 1 supplier specializing in high-precision, metal-formed structural components such as body frames, underbodies, and chassis systems for both internal combustion and electric vehicles. With capabilities spanning design, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and logistics, Autokiniton delivers end-to-end solutions to major automakers worldwide.

As the design-build general contractor, Janotta & Herner is managing all aspects of planning, design, coordination, and construction. The company is also self-performing a wide scope of work, including demolition, concrete, structural steel and miscellaneous metals, carpentry, insulated metal panel siding, doors and hardware, interior finishes, Division 10 accessories, and more.

Firelands Fabrication of New London, Ohio, a JHI Group company, will provide the fabrication of all structural and miscellaneous steel products. Providing this integrated company approach allows Janotta & Herner to streamline and fast track construction.
