Firelands Electric Cooperative had long operated from multiple separated facilities, creating challenges in communication and efficiency. Recognizing the need for a commercial project to consolidate all administrative and operational functions under one roof, they selected Janotta & Herner as their design-build firm to deliver a modern, efficient, and fully integrated headquarters in New London, Ohio.

The result is a 37,787 sq. ft. facility situated on 10 acres of site development, thoughtfully planned to support current operations and future growth. The building features office space, training and conference rooms, engineering areas, locker rooms, storage, and extensive shop space. A large garage area provides 18 vehicle storage bays, along with a wash bay and a maintenance bay.

From office programming to operational workflow planning, Janotta & Herner delivered a solution for the Cooperative’s needs—and yes, we even included a custom boot dryer!
