Janotta & Herner served as the general contractor for the rehabilitation of 109 Front Street in downtown Fremont, a key historic building renovation project in Northern Ohio. This 18th-century structure was transformed through our comprehensive commercial nightclub construction and design-build expertise.

The goal was to convert this vacant property into a modern nightclub and event venue, a complex undertaking due to the building’s age and the significant change in occupancy and use. As a contractor for complex and specialty projects, Janotta & Herner brought the experience needed to address these challenges.

Our team completed extensive demolition, installed new foundations, performed detailed masonry restoration, and rebuilt the main and second-floor structural systems to meet current code and support high-capacity crowds. We also constructed the custom bar and executed all interior finish work to deliver a fully revitalized, turnkey space.

The completed venue features a kitchen, multiple bars, private event space on the second floor, and spacious social areas, creating a vibrant entertainment destination and a successful example of structural rehabilitation and urban revitalization in Northern Ohio.
