Janotta & Herner served as the contractor for S&T Bank’s Akron, Ohio office, overseeing the delivery of a 5,600 sq. ft. facility designed to replicate a late-19th-century Victorian home. The new building was intentionally crafted to complement the existing historic house on the property, which the bank uses for additional office and meeting space.
As general contractor, Janotta & Herner coordinated all phases of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, subcontractor management, quality control, safety oversight, and collaboration with the design team to ensure the building met both architectural and operational expectations.
Inside, the facility features a welcoming reception area, customer lounge, 24-hour ATM access, and thoughtfully planned office space for S&T Bank staff. Construction began in May 2016 and was successfully completed and turned over to the Bank by October 28, 2016. This project showcases Janotta & Herner’s ability to balance modern banking needs with historically sensitive design requirements.
